COVID-19 Booking Policies and Waiver


Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to COVID-19/Coronavirus:

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing. SHED Barber and Supply (“SHED”) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, SHED cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, visiting SHED could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.

“By booking online and agreeing to our booking policies, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by visiting SHED and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at SHED may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, SHED employees and clients. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my visit to SHED. On my behalf I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless SHED, its employees, agents, and representatives, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of SHED, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after any visit to SHED.”

Client Procedures
-Masks are optional for vaccinated clients and employees.
-If you have symptoms, are feeling unwell, or have measured a temperature above 100F prior to your appointment please call us to reschedule. There will be no cancellation fees applied for this.

Please note that we can only accept cancellations via phone. You can also cancel your appointment online from the confirmation email you received. We cannot make any changes to appointments via email, text, or social media.

Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans change and things come up that might cause you to miss your appointment. In order to serve all of our clients as best we can we require 3 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments so that we have ample time to book another client in that spot. Changes made less than 3 hours before an appointment are subject to a fee of 50% of the total services booked. No call/no shows or last minute cancels (less than 60 minutes prior) are subject to the full amount of services booked.

Late Arrival Policy:
We optimize our books for each barber in order to serve as many clients as possible. For that reason it is imperative to arrive on time for appointments. We are unable to complete any service if a client arrives more than 10 minutes late (5 minutes for beard trim-only) to an appointment. For late arrivals we are happy to find another time that works. Please note that late arrivals are subject to charges of up to 100% of the total services booked.

We’re beyond grateful to be a part of the amazing community of Austin, and to witness this city’s continued growth over the past six (!) years. From the day we opened our doors, we always wanted to be a social hub for the exchange of ideas, opinions, and perspectives – a safe space for every person, from any walk-of-life, to come in and immediately be accepted into our family with open arms.

Along the way, we noticed that trust is a fundamental aspect of building a relationship, and as anybody who gets a haircut from one of our excellent (and interesting) barbers already knows, describing that experience as a “relationship” isn’t being grandiose.

Which brings us to a new series we’re releasing called “Know Your Barber”. You’ve all done us the honor of trusting us and letting us get to know you each time you’ve come into the shop, or sat in the barber chair for a haircut. So we thought it’d only be fair to reciprocate that trust and tell ya’ll a little about each of us. “Know Your Barber” showcases each and every barber that works at SHED, with the intention of shedding a light (pun intended) on the person behind the chair.

First up, is the guy at the reigns of this wild ride: co-owner and barber Michael Regino. Everybody that’s lucky enough to call Michael a friend is already aware of the loving positivity and enigmatic vision that he unwaveringly provides to every person in his presence, but if you don’t know already: here’s a little glimpse.

This time alongside grill-maker and DJ Secret of Manna, and their favorite pal/DJ Joaqu.n, shed your worries. will be installing a unique shopping experience and light show for a night of imagination and reverie.
